Our Ordinance No . 9, which regulates gambling and bingo, provides
that the manager of an organization applying for such a license have a
fidelity bond in the sum of $10,000 in favor of the organization
conditioned on the faithful performance of times. duties or the K of C
may request that this requirement be waived by the City Council .
(A unanimous vote is required) .
The Knights of Columbus has requested that the Council waive
this requirement .
ACTION: Approve/deny the request that the Fidelity Bond in the sum
of $10,000 in favor of the Council 1685 Home Association, K of C, be
waived.

In the interest of building a residence in Shakopee, for
those who have paid their dues, I submit the following:
Location is the most single important factor. The safety
of those who choose to live in a dwelling occupied by
friends and neighbors will be challenged by ever
increasing traffic, and isolated, unless vehicles transport
them.
Only bureaucratic stupidity, compounded by com-
placency would approve of the proposed site.
The long list of reasons NOT to build north of First
Avenue can be improved on by your presence at:

Reasons Not to Accept the Proposed Location:,
. Proximity to St. Francis Hospital. (Difficult for
emergency vehicles crossing 1st ave.
2. Levee Street means isloation — even if they have
their own cars.
3. Ability to walk (without fear of grain trucks) to
church, stores, hospital, doctors, etc.
4. How many reasons for NOT building at the pro-
1 posed location — COME to the meeting and tell us.
