SUBJECT: Application for Tobacco License - Shakopee Exxon, Inc.

INTRODUCTION:
City Council is asked to consider the application for a tobacco license from Shakopee
Exxon, Inc.
BACKGROUND:
Application has been made by Abdalla Abdalla of Shakopee Exxon, Inc. to sell tobacco
at 312 West 1 st Avenue. For training purposes, Mr. Abdalla has advised that they plan
on using the training material provided by the City from Minnesota ASSIST, Minnesota
Department of Health and the American Cancer Society.
During the customary background investigation, the Police Department has learned of
nothing that would prevent the issuance of the tobacco license.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the application and grant a tobacco license to Shakopee Exxon, Inc., 312 West
I st Avenue.
