FROM: R. Michael Leek, Community Development Director
SUBJECT: Final Plat of Park Meadows
MEETING DATE: May 18, 2004
CASELOG NO.: 04-032
REVIEW PERIOD: March 25, 2004- July 23, 2004
DISCUSSION:
At its May 4th meeting, the City Council continued the request for preliminary plat
approval in order to get additional information regarding Ms. Beverly Koehnen's
concerns about drainage from the proposed plat.
Additional information regarding drainage calculations was received by the City's
engineering staff on Tuesday, May 11 th, and a copy is being provided to Ms. Koehnen for
her review. Planning staff does not expect that by the Council meeting Ms. Koehnen will
have had adequate opportunity to review the information. For that reason, staff is
recommending that the Council take no action on May 18th, leaving the item on the table.
The expectation is that it will be brought back for Council consideration on June 1, 2004.
ALTERNATIVES:
1. Remove the item from the table, and approve Resolution No. 6053, a resolution
approving the final plat of Park Meadows as presented.
2. Remove the item from the table, and approve Resolution No. 6053, a resolution
approving the final plat of Park Meadows with revisions.
3. Direct staff to prepare a resolution denying the request for final plat approval.
4. Offer and pass a motion to remove the request from the table, and to table again until
the Council meeting of June 1,2004
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends alternative no. 4 at this time.
ACTION REQUESTED:
