SUBJECT: Successful Completion of Probationary Period - Amberly Cortez (E)
Action Sought
The City Council is asked to recognize Amberly Cortez's successful completion of the six -month probationary
period required of Civil Service employees and grant her full -time, regular status as a Police Records Technician.
Background
Amberly Cortez began work as a full -time Police Records Technician on July 8, 2012, following several months of
temporary employment in the same role. She has now completed the six -month probationary period required for
Civil Service employees and her supervisor reports that she is pleased with Ms. Cortez's job performance and
contributions to the Department.
Relationship to Vision
This item relates to Goal E: Deliver effective and efficient public services by a staff of well- trained, caring and
professional employees.
Requested Action
If the Council concurs, it is asked to offer a motion to recognize Amberly Cortez's successful completion of the new
hire probationary period and grant her full -time, regular status as a Police Records Technician.
