Michael Leek, Community Development Director SUBJECT: Request of Ryan Companies, U.s., Inc. for Waiver of Construction Start Time MEETING DATE: August 10, 2004 REVIEW PERIOD: NA INTRODUCTION: City Code Sec. 10.60, Subd. 3, D. restricts the start time for construction activities to 7 a.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. on weekends. Because of a change in the method of creating and placing concrete panels, by letter dated and received August 5th, Ryan requested a waiver of that provision to allow a 4 a.m. start on 8/09 -8/11/2004 to ensure placement and cure of concrete slab for the Challenge Printing site. The site is located in Valley Green Business Park, and is not adjacent to any residential areas. ALTERNATIVES: 1. Approve the waiver requested to allow a 4 a.m. start time for concrete placement and curing for 3 consecutive days during the week of August 9, 2004 2. Deny the waiver requested to allow a 4 a.m. start time for concrete placement and curing for 3 consecutive days during the week of August 9, 2004 ACTION REQUESTED: If the Council is amenable to the request, offer and approve a. motion approving the waiver requested to allow a 4 a.m. start time for concrete placement and curing for 3 consecutive days during the week of August 9,2004 R.
