If'''' '~~ <" ~l" !!.~~t.~"f{ FROM: Mark McNeill, City Administrator ," ~ '.' ". iili' SUBJECT: Liaison Appointments - SCALE DATE: January 10, 2005 INTRODUCTION: The Council is asked to appoint the City representatives to the Scott County Association for Leadership and Efficiency (SCALE). BACKGROUND: At the January 4th meeting, the Council appointed its liaisons to the various broads and commissions for 2004. One set of appointments that was omitted from that action was to formally appoint Shakopee representatives to SCALE. Each member City has the Mayor and Administrator as representatives; however, since its inception, in addition to the Mayor, Councilor Helkamp has also represented Shakopee. Each City has only one vote on formal votes, so it is inconsequential that an extra delegate has appeared from Shakopee. In order to formally make the assignment, the following individuals should be appointed as delegates from Shakopee to SCALE: Mayor - John Schmitt Councilmember - Joe Helkamp City Administrator - Mark McNeill RECOMMENDATION: I recommend the above appointments be formalized. ACTION REQUIRED: If the Council concurs, it should, by motion, authorize the appointment of Mayor John Schmitt, Councilmember Joe Helkamp, and City Administrator Mark McNeill as Shakopee representatives to SCALE. \}Acff~ Mark McNeill City Administrator MM:th Addendum to F. 3.
