4.b
Background:
The Economic Development Authority has been funding the efforts to build and grow and
entrepreneurial base for the region from funding from Shakopee Public Utilities.
The CDA's program is aimed at very early stage companies whereas the EDA's efforts are
aimed at companies that have a service or product that will or is being sold nationally
and/or internationally. There are some companies using both programs. Staff has
attached the current roster of FounderyMN members. Staff will present some info on
specific companies and status of funding on The Hub.
TAP2025 will occur on Saturday September 13th from 1 PM until 5PM. Last year we had
40 participants. We have 25 that have already signed on for this year. The time has been
changed to an hour later after input from breweries and attendees. The event scored a
4.9 out of 5 from attendees. The dinner will again be Friday night at 5:30PM at the
Landing.
Staff will also present a brief update on Canterbury's redevelopment.
Recommendation:
Update on efforts and partnerships
