SUBJECT: Acceptance of Resignation - Community Service Officer Jeremy Stobb

Introduction
The City Council is asked to accept the resignation of Community Service Officer Jeremy Stobb,
effective December 25,2006.
Background
Mr. Stobb began work with the City of Shakopee on September 25, 2006. On Monday,
December 11, he submitted his resignation, with the required 14 days notice, in order to accept a
position with another police department.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the Council accept the resignation of Jeremy Stobb and ask the Civil
Service Commission to begin the testing process to the fill the vacancy.
Relationship to Vision:
This is a housekeeping item.
Requested Action
If it concurs, the Council should offer a motion to accept the resignation of Jeremy Stobb for his
position as a Community Service Officer with the Shakopee Police Department.

This was a tough decision to make, as the City of Shako pee has been good to me. Everyonehas
been great to work with, and I have learned a lot while serving in this position. Thankyoufor
