Miscellaneous Donations -2011
December 20, 2011
Comment:
Introduction:
The Council is asked to adopt a resolution accepting miscellaneous donations of less than
$500 to the City.
Background:
Minnesota Law (MSA 465.03) requires City Councils to adopt resolutions
acknowledging the donation of personal or real property. Shakopee's policy to address
this is that donations of over $500 are to be acknowledged as soon after the time of
donation as is possible. Otherwise, donations of lesser amounts may be aggregated, and
acknowledged at the end of the year.
The attached Resolution No. 7144 details the donations which have been received during
calendar year 2011.
The City gratefully acknowledges the receipt of these donations.
Recommendation:
I recommend that Council adopt the attached Resolution No. 7144.
Relationship to Visioning:
This supports Goals D— "Maintain, improve, and create strong partnerships with other
public and private sector entities ".
Action Required:
If the Council concurs, it should move and adopt Resolution No. 7144:
