iNTRODUCTION:
City Council is asked to consider adopting the attached Resolution No. 7143 which
apportions existing special assessments against newly created lots located within Dean
Lakes Seventh Addition.
BACKGROUND:
Prior to the platting of Dean Lakes Seventh Addition, there were e�sting special
assessments against Tract C of RLS 198 for the construction of CSAH 83, from 12�' Avenue
to 1870 Feet South of the Existing Intersection of CSAH 16 and for CSAH 16 From 850
Feet West of CSAH 83 to 1500 Feet East of CSAH 83, Project No. 2001-4 and for the Dean
Lakes Improvements, Project No. 2004-4. Now that Parcel C of RLS 198 has been
subdivided into two new parcels, it is necessary to apportion these assessments against each
of the new lots. Resolution No. 7143 apportions the existing special assessments against the
newly created lots within the plat of Dean Lakes Seventh Addition.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Offer Resolution No. 7143, A Resolufion Apportioning Assessments Among New Parcels
Created As A Result Of The Platting of Dean Lakes Seventh Addition, and move its
adoption.

A RESOLUTION APPORTIONJNG ASSESSMENTS AMONG NEW
PARCELS CREATED AS A RESULT OF THE PLATTING OF
DEAN LAKES SEVENTH ADDITION
WHEREAS, on November 6, 2002, Resolution No. 5803 adopted by the City Council
levied assessments against properties benefited by the CSAH 83, from 12 Avenue to 1870 Feet
South of the Existing Intersection of CSAH 16 and for CSAH 16 From 850 Feet West of CSAH 83
to 1500 Feet East of CSAH 83, Project No. 2001-4; and
WHEREAS, on October 19, 2004, Resolution No. 6132 adopted by the City Council levied
assessments against properties benefited by the Dean Lakes Improvements, Project No. 2004-4;
and
WHEREAS, Tractl C of RLS 198, benefited by the said improvements and known as parcel
number 27-398003-0, has been subdivided into Dean Lakes Seventh Addition; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to apportion the installments remaining
unpaid against this parcel, because of the platting of Dean Lakes Seventh Addition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHAKOPEE,
MINNESOTA that the 2011 payable remaining balance of assessments (to parcel 27-398003-0
for the 2001-4 County Road 16/County Road 83 Project and for the 2004-4 Dean Lakes
Improvements) are hereby apportioned as outlined in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all other parts of Resolution Numbers 5803, 6008, 6081,
6132, 6266, and 6521 shall continue in effect.
