Background Attached is a letter from Ms. Jansen resigning from her position as Accounting Clerk II in the Finance Department, effective January 7,2007. Ms. Jansen has worked for the City for six and a half years and is resigning to take a position with the Carver County Sheriffs Department. Staff is requesting authorization to begin the hiring process in order to fill the vacancy. Relationship to Vision: Goal F - General Housekeeping. Recommendation Staff recommends that the letter of resignation be accepted with regret and that staffbe authorized to begin the hiring process in order to fill the vacancy. Requested Action The Council is asked to offer a motion to accept, with regret, the resignation of Linda Jansen from her position as Accounting Clerk IT and to authorize staff to begin the hiring process to fill the vacancy.
