', �� ; At both intersections, the stop signs recommended would be on the north/south legs of � � the intersections and for the following reasons: � 1. Both intersections are only one lot in depth from a 45 m.p.h. roadway intersection I� ; (Fuller Street) and vehicles coming from Fuller Street believe they have the right- , � of-way. , 2. The north leg of both intersections slopes down from the intersection and the �� ad'acent ro ert slo es u causin a si ht distance issue articularl in the ' , J P P Y P P g g P Y i winter. , � , i 3. Due to these unique circumstances, the TSRC felt it was important to establish the �, � right-of-way for these intersections by two-way stop sign control. ' The recommendation of the TSRC is to install two-way stop signs as shown on the � attached map. � � � The Caspian Lane, Gotland Avenue and Danube Avenue intersection was petitioned for ; by the neighborhood and the contact person was notified of the committee's � � recommendation. The Jutland Avenue, Noric Street and Appaloosa Avenue intersection � � � i � i � ' � . i � I was studied by staff, due to concerns of residents of cut through traffic to Jackson � Elementary School. Attached is a map showing traffic counts for the past two years and � � traffic is about the same before and after the school has opened. � I , ALTERNATIVES: � � 1. Approve a motion authorizing stop signs on Gotland Avenue and Danube � ! Avenue; and on Jutland Avenue and Noric Street, as per the attached Drawing � � labeled Proposed Stop Signs Map. � 2. Do not install stop signs. �' � I , I 3.
