J TO: Mayor and City Council Mark McNeill, City Administxator i FROM: Kris Wilson, Assistant CiTy Administrator��`� �� SUBJECT: Successful Completion of Probationary Period — Communiry Service Officer Joe Theis DATE: October 13, 2011 I Introduction The City Council is asked to recognize Joe Theis's successful completion of the six-montl� probationary period required of Civil Service employees and grant him full-time, regular status as a Community Service Officer (CSO) with the Shakopee Police Department. Background Joe Theis began work as a CSO on April 25, 201 L He has now successfully completed the six- montli probationary period and Chief Tate is recommending that he be granted full-time, regular status. RecommeodaYio❑ It is recommended that the Council recognize Mr. Theis's successful eompletion of the six- month probationaiy period for Civil Seivice employees and grant him full-time, regular status as a Community Service Officer with the Shakopee Police Department. Requested Action If it concurs, the Council should offer a motion to grant Joe Theis full-time, regular status as a � Community Service Officer. I
