BACKGROUND In 2010 the City hired Bonestroo (now Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.) to complete the � schematic designs for Greenfield East/Park Meadows Park and Riverside Fields Park. Bonestroo also completed the plans and specifications for Greenfield East/Park Meadows Park. DISCUSSION Riverside Fields Park was planned to be built in phases; phase I including the installation of the playground, phase II is the construction of the park land that the City currently owns and phase III will be future development to the west if the City deems necessary. On May 3, 2011 the City Council approved the final schematic design completed by Bonestroo for Riverside Fields Park (Attachment A) and the completion of Phase I in 2011. The playground was installed and completed in August and is very busy every day. Staff is recomme�ding that the City retain Bonestroo, now Stantec, for $24,000 to complete the plans and specifications for Riverside Fields Park. Timeline The proposed timeline for this park is to have bid documents and final specifications approved by the City Council on February 21st with the bid documents available for advertisement the week of March 5'". The authorization to award construction will be brought to the City Council on April 17�" with the construction of the park to begin immediately following authorization. RELATIONSHIP TO VISION A.
