INTRODUCTION
The Shakopee Police Department is seeking council approval to declare three vehicles as surplus
property.
BACKGROUND
A description of the vehicles:
1. 1993 Ford Tempo, VIN: IFACP36XOPK160690
2. 1996 Chevrolet Suburban, VIN: 3GNFK16R9TG128082
3. 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier, VIN: 1G1JC5244W7249287
The vehicles were obtained through successful forfeiture proceedings. The vehicles will be sold
at auction or junked.

This action supports:
Goal C: Maintain the City's Strong Financial Health
Strategy 10: Ensure City's Fiscal Health
ALTERNATIVES
1. Authorize staff to declare the vehicles as surplus property.
2. Do not authorize.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends alternative one.
ACTION REQUESTED
If Council concurs, they should by motion declare the 1993 Ford Tempo, VIN:
1FACP36XOPK160690; the 1996 Chevrolet Suburban, VIN: 3GNFK16R9TG128082; and the
1998 Chevrolet Cavalier, VIN: 1G1JC5244W7249287as surplus property.
