BACKGROUND: 'J L 1' i The Police Department is currently in possession of numerous bicycles that have been recovered and stored over the past several months. The Police Department would like to declare these bicycles as surplus property. Bicycles of value would be auctioned off at the upcoming Wheelies Event at Huber Park. Bicycles not sold and of no value will be discarded. VISIONING RELATIONSHIP: This action supports: Goal C: Maintain the City's strong financial health. Goal F: Housekeeping Item. Strategy 10: Ensure City's fiscal health. ALTERNATIVES: 1. Authorize staff to declare the items as surplus property. 2. Do not authorize. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends alternative one. ACTION REQUESTED: If Council concurs, they should, by motion, declare these items as surplus property.
