SUBJECT: Temporary Liquor License for a Wine Tasting Fund Raiser
DATE: February 9, 2011
INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND:
The Minnesota Farm Winery Association has made application for a temporary on -sale
intoxicating liquor license for April 2, 2011, at Canterbury Park. They are planning a wine tasting
event as a fund raiser for their programs. State law permits wine tasting when conducted by a
charitable, religious, or nonprofit organization with a temporary on -sale intoxicating liquor
license.
The application is in order. I have been in contact with the Police Department regarding this
application. There is no problem with the activity.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Move to approve the application and grant a temporary on -sale liquor license to the Minnesota
Farm Winery Association for April 2, 2011, at Canterbury Park, 1100 Canterbury Road.
