Back�round: The Shakopee Police Department is requesting that the attached property list be declared surplus. The property has been in possession of the police department for several months and ownership cannot be determined. The property was placed on the city website for over 10 days to attempt to obtain owner information, per City Code Section 2J0, subd. 2(c). Visionin� Relationship: This action supports: Goal C: Maintain the City's Strong Financial Health Strategy 10: Ensure City's Fiscal Health Alternatives• 1. Authorize staff to declare the items as surp►us. 2. Do not authorize. Recommendation: Department recommends alternative 1. Action Requested: If Council concurs, they should, by motion, declare as surplus property those items listed in the April 17, 2012 memo from Elizabeth Carlson, Police Evidence Technician and Corey Schneck, Police Detective.
