After more than 31 years of � � service, she has submitted notice of her intent to resignlretire effective January 19, 2012. In ' response, the attached resolution of appreciation has been drafted for the Council's consideration. � Requested Action I ! The Council is asked to offer a motion to accept, with regret, the resignation of Patricia Pennington, effective January 19, 2011 and to offer Resolution No. 7157, a resolution of I appreciation for Patricia Pennington, and move its adoption. � I I I � �� � I I i I I � I I I , � I I � , ' RESOLUTION NO 7157 A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR � PATRICIA M. PENNINGTON , WHEREAS, Patricia M. Pennington began working for the City as a part-time i Accounting Clerk on September 29, 1980; and WHEREAS, Pat transferred to the position of Engineering Secretary in July of 1984; and WHEREAS, Pat has performed the secretarial, clerical and administrative tasks for Engineering with an exceptional level of professionalism and integrity; and WHEREAS, Pat has been instrumental in setting up procedures on Public I Improvement Projects and in updating and maintaining the Special Assessment I System for the City; and WHEREAS, Pat has been a loyal and dedicated employee providing the City with , � a consistent base of knowledge and stability during the periods of change within i the City; and i WHEREAS, after providing more than thirty-one years of dedicated service, Pat is ! retiring January 19, 2012. NOW, THEREFORE, 8E IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ; ; SHAKOPEE, MINNES�TA, that it hereby accepts, with regret, the resignation of i j Patricia M.
