INTRODUCTION
The Shakopee Police Department is seeking council approval to declare five vehicles as surplus property.
BACKGROUND
A description of the vehicles:
1. 1982 Cadillac Deville, VIN:1G6AD4789C9141339
2. 1992 Mazda MX -6, VIN:1YVGD31B8N5223945
3. 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, VIN:1J4GZ58SXVC767183
4. 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, VIN:1G3NV52E9YM725425
5. 2001 Nissan Maxima, VIN: JN1CA31D71T838722
The vehicles were obtained through successful forfeiture proceedings. The vehicles will be sold at auction
or junked.

ALTERNATIVES
1. Authorize staff to declare the vehicles as surplus property.
2. Do not authorize.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends alternative one.
ACTION REQUESTED
If Council concurs, they should by motion declare the 1982 Cadillac Deville, VIN: 1G6AD4789C9141339;
the 1992 Mazda MX -6, VIN: 1YVGD31B8N5223945; the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, VIN:
1J4GZ58SXVC767183; the 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, VIN: 1G3NV52E9YM725425 and 2001 Nissan
Maxima, VIN: JN1CA31D71T838722 as surplus property.
