CITY OF SHAKOPEE Memorandum � � ! � ��� ����� TO: Mayor and City Council Mark McNeill, City Administrator FROM: Kris Wilson, Assistant City Administrator '�'v � SUBJECT: Completion of Probationary Period—Elizabeth Carlson DATE: June 12, 2012 Introduction The City Council is asked to recognize Elizabeth Carlson's successful completion of the six- month probationary period required of Civil Service employees and grant her regular status as Police Evidence Technician with the Shakopee Police Department. Background Elizabeth Carlson began working for the City in the new,part-time position of Police Evidence Technician on December 19, 2011. She has successfully completed the required six-month probationary period and Chief Tate is recommending that she be granted regular status. Recommendation It is recommended that the Council recognize Ms. Carlson's successful completion of the six- month probationary period for Civil Service employees and grant her regular status as Police Evidence Technician. Requested Action If it concurs, the Council should offer a motion to grant Elizabeth Carlson regular status as Police Evidence Technician.
