WSB has contacted G Urban Companies and they are comfortable with their bid submittal for completing the construction according to the timeline proposed. We recommend that the City of Shakopee execute a contract with G Urban Companies,Inc. for$143,850 to include the Base Bid. If any import of common borrow for the alternate bid item is needed during construction this can be added through a change order. We also recommend setting aside a minimum construction contingency of 10%of the construction budget to allow for any additional unknowns on the site that may require changes to the construction. It has been a pleasure working with the City of Shakopee on this project and I eagerly look forward to seeing this project move into construction.
