INTRODUCTION
The Shakopee Police Department is seeking council approval to declare two vehicles and used
radios as surplus property.
BACKGROUND
A description of the vehicles:
1. 2006 Chrysler Sebring, VIN: 1C3EL45X86N241878
2. 2008 Kymco scooter, VIN: RFBU6A0338BOO0559
The vehicles were obtained through successful forfeiture proceedings. The vehicles will be sold
at auction.
A description of the radios:
1. 40 HT1000 and HT750 Motorola portable radios
2. 6 Kenwood TK790 mobile radios
3. 4 Motorola MCS 2000 mobile radios
VISIONING RELATIONSHIP
This action supports:
Goal C: Maintain the City's strong financial health.
Strategy 10: Ensure City's fiscal health.
ALTERNATIVES
1. Authorize staff to declare the vehicles and radios as surplus property.
2. Do not authorize.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Alternative one.

If Council concurs, they should, by motion, declare the following as surplus property:
- 2006 Chrysler Sebring, VIN: lC3EL45X86N241878; and the 2008 Kymco scooter,
VIN: RFBU6A0338BOO0559
- 40 HTI000 and HT750 Motorola portable radios; 6 Kenwood TK790 mobile radios; and
4 Motorola MCS 2000 mobile radios
