SUBJECT: Temporary Liquor License for a Wine Tasting Fund Raiser

INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND:
The Shakopee Senior Graduation Party, Inc. has made application for a temporary on-sale
intoxicating liquor license for February 11, 2010, at Canterbury Park. They are planning a wine
tasting event as a fund raiser for their annual All Night Graduation Party. State law permits wine
tasting when conducted by a charitable, religious, or nonprofit organization with a temporary on-
sale intoxicating liquor license.
The application is in order. I have been in contact with the Police Department regarding this
application. There is no problem with the activity.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Move to approve the application and grant a temporary on-sale liquor license to the Shakopee
Senior Graduation Party, Inc. for February 11, 2010, at Canterbury Park, 1100 Canterbury Road.
