Completion of Probationary Period-Community Service Officer Crystal Marks 5E:3, City of Shako pee CO~JSEt~T MEMORANDUM TO: Mayor and City Council Mark McNeill, City Administrator FROM: Kris Wilson, Assistant City AdrninistratocY SUBJECT: Completion of Probationary Period - Community Service Officer Crystal Marks DATE: September 29,2009 Introduction The City Council is asked to recognize Crystal Marks's successful completion of the six-month probationary period required of Civil Service employees and grant her full-time, regular status as a Community Service Officer (CSO) with the Shakopee Police Department. Background Crystal Marks began work as a CSO on April 6, 2009. She has now successfully completed the six-month probationary period and Chief Tate is recommending that she be granted full-time, regular status. Recommendation It is recommended that the Council recognize Ms. Marks's successful completion ofthe six- month probationary period for Civil Service employees and grant her full-time, regular status as a Community Service Officer with the Shakopee Police Department. Requested Action Ifit concurs, the Council should offer a motion to grant Crystal Marks full-time, regular status as a Community Service Officer.
