Cox, City Clerk SUBJECT: Temporary Liquor License - Church of St. Mary DATE: September 11, 2009 . INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND: The Church of St. Mary has made application for a temporary on-sale intoxicating liquor license for their parish social on October 3,2009. The social will be held at the Shakopee Area Catholic Education Center, 2700 17th Avenue East on the east side of the school. The application is in order and the insurance certificate is on order. Council recently approved a license for October 4th and since that time the applicant has decided to hold a dance on October 3rd and would like the license expanded to include October 3rd. The Police Department has advised that they are unaware of any reason to deny the license. VISIONING RELATIONSHIP: Goal F: Housekeeping RECOMMENDED ACTION: Move to approve the application and grant a temporary on-sale liquor license to the Church of St. Mary at 2700 17th Avenue East, for October 3,2009.
