SUBJECT: Completion of Probationary Period - Records Technician Alison Burstein

Introduction
The City Council is asked to recognize Alison Burstein's successful completion ofthe six-month
probationary period required of Civil Service employees and grant her full-time regular status as
a Records Technician with the Shakopee Police Department.
Background
Alison Burstein was promoted to the position of Records Technician on February 2,2009. She
has successfully completed the resulting six-month probationary period and Chief Tate is
recommending that she be granted full-time regular status.
Recommendation
It is recoinmended that the Council recognize Ms. Burstein's successful completion ofthe six-
month probationary'period for Civil Service employees and grant her full-time regular status as a
Records Technician with the Shakopee Police Department.
Requested Action
If it concurs, the Council should offer a motion to grant Alison Burstein full-time regular status
as a Police Records Technician.
