INTRODUCTION
The Shakopee Police Department is seeking council approval to declare four vehicles as
surplus property.
BACKGROUND
A description ofthe vehicles:
1. 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche, VIN: 3GNEK13T12G280531
2. 1998 Saturn SL2, VIN: IG8ZJ5274WZ166810
3. 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe, VIN: 1GNEK13ROVJ330231
4. 1993 Chrysler Concorde, VIN: 2C3EL56TOPH560011
The vehicles were obtained through successful forfeiture proceedings and are not suitable
for City use. The vehicles will be sold at auction or junked.

ALTERNATIVES
1. Authorize staff to declare the vehicles as surplus property.
2. Do not authorize.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends alternative one.
ACTION REQUESTED
If Council concurs, they should by motion declare the 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche, VIN:
3GNEK13T12G280531; the 1998 Saturn SL2, VIN: 1G8ZJ5274WZ166810; the 1997
Chevrolet Tahoe, VIN: 1GNEK13ROVJ330231 and the 1993 Chrysler Concorde, VIN:
2C3EL56TOPH560011 as surplus property.
