BACKGROUND:
On December 20, 2002, the Shakopee Police Department was advised of the opportunity
to receive a reimbursement grant of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) for
snowmobile enforcement efforts, through the Minnesota Department of Natural
Resources. Allowable expenses under this grant are those relative to enforcement,
purchase, maintenance and repair of rescue sleds, repairs to snowmobiles and trailers, and

reimbursement. This duration of the grant is from the date filed at the Minnesota
Department of Natural Resources until June 30, 2003. Completed grant reports are due
by May 1,2003.
BUDGET IMPACT
This grant requires no local matching funds.

into a grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
