No. 7584 (A) Action Sought The Council is asked to accept Jerry Hennen's resignation from the Bicycle Advisory Committee and offer Resolution No. 7584, appointing Anthony Theis to complete the remainder of the term. Background Jerry Hennen recently submitted notice of his resignation from the Bicycle Advisory Committee, leaving a vacant position for a term expiring February 28, 2018. The vacancy was advertised, three applications were received and interviews were conducted on June 8. Recommendation The interview committee is recommending that Anthony Theis be appointed to complete the remainder of this term. Relationship to Vision Filling all available positions on the Bicycle Advisory Committee contributes to Goal A: Keep Shakopee a safe and healthy community where residents can pursue active and quality lifestyles. Requested Action The Council is asked to accept, with regret, the resignation of Jerry Hennen from the Bicycle Advisory Committee, and to offer Resolution No. 7584, a resolution appointing Anthony Theis to the Bicycle Advisory Committee, and move it's adoption. No. 7584 RESOLUTION NO. 7584 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ANTHONY THEIS TO THE BICYCLE ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the Bicycle Advisory Committee as a result of Jerry Hennen's resignation prior to the scheduled end of his term. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHAKOPEE, MINNESOTA, that Anthony Theis is hereby appointed to fill the unexpired term, from June 16, 2015 to February 28, 2018.
