SUBJECT: Appointment to the Environmental Advisory Committee
DATE: April 2, 2008
INTRODUCTION:
The Council is asked to appoint Michael Klemm to the Environmental Advisory
Committee.
BACKGROUND:
The Environmental Advisory Committee is composed of five members and currently has
a vacancy for the unexpired term of Karyn Islam.
Councilors Terry Joos and Patrick Heitzman and Planning Commission Vice Chair Andy
Siedensticker interviewed Mr. Klemm in February when he expressed interest in serving
on the Planning Commission. He was not appointed to the Planning Commission at that
time. He has expressed interest in serving on the Environmental Advisory Committee.
RECOMMENDATION:
The panel recommends that Michael Klemm be appointed to fill the unexpired term on
the Environmental Advisory Committee, which will expire February 28,2010.
ACTION REQUIRED:
The Council should, by motion, make the appointment and adopt the attached resolution:

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MICHAEL KLEMM TO THE
ENVIRONMENT AL ADVISORY COMMITTEE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHAKOPEE,
MINNESOTA, that the following appointment hereby be made:
Michael Klemm is appointed to the Environmental Advisory Committee to fill the
unexpired term of Karyn Islam, which will expire February 28,2010.
Adopted in regular session of the City Council of the City of Shakopee,
Minnesota, held this 8th day of April, 2008.
