Temporary Liquor License - MN Farm Winery Association �• T3 Consent Business SHAKOPEE TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: Lori Hensen, Deputy City Clerk DATE: 02/17/2015 SUBJECT: Temporary Liquor License - MN Farm Winery Association (F) Action Sought The Council is asked to authorize the issuance of a temporary liquor license for a MN Farm Winery Association event to be held April 25 at Canterbury Park. Background The MN Farm Winery Association has made application for a temporary on-sale liquor license for April 25, 2015, at Canterbury Park Event Pavilion. They are planning a wine tasting event as a fund raiser for their programs. State law permits wine tasting when conducted by a charitable, religious, or non-profit organization with a temporary on-sale liquor license. The application is in order. I have been in contact with the Police Department regarding this application and they have no concerns regarding the approval of this application. Relationship to Vision Goal F: Housekeeping Recommended Action The Council is asked to approve the application and grant a temporary on-sale liquor license to the MN Farm Winery Association for April 25, 2015, at Canterbury Park Event Pavilion, 1100 Canterbury Road.
