Identify roles and responsibilities of individual Councilmembers,the Mayor and senior staff. B. Establish norms of behavior for communication with and commitments to the public,staff,media, developers/partners and residents:parameters and expectations of each other. _ C. Identify a process for Councilmembers(and Mayor)to work through/with differences,. Approach: Interview each(individually)Councilmember and the Mayor with questions jointly developed by consultant and Acting City Administrator.Facilitate a two-hour Council Workshop to address findings from the interviews and suggestions on how the Council might continue to do their work,especially to prepare the way for making progress on priorities for the City and increasing the functionality of the Council. Steps: 1. Meet with acting City Administrator to review process,prepare questions for one-on-one interviews and establish project schedule. (3.0 hours) 2. Conduct interviews with Councilmembers and Mayor. (6.0 hours) 3. Compile interview responses(without attribution)and prepare agenda for Workshop. (3.5 hours) i 4. Facilitate two-hour Workshop with Mayor and Council to address findings from interviews and suggestions on how the Council might move forward as a group. (2.5 hours) S. Debrief staff and prepare report on the results of the Workshop meeting.
