Ad Hoc Committee--Jackson Township Liaisons - Matt Lehman and Brad Tabke Acting Mayor With the exception of the Acting Mayor position, all liaison positions listed above are proposed to remain the same for 2015 as they have been for 2014. When liaison appointments were made in 2014, it was established that the Acting Mayor position would rotate annually to the longest-tenured member of the Council who has least recently served as Acting Mayor. Councilmember Lehman has been Acting Mayor for 2014, so that would mean it is Councilmember Whiting's turn in 2015. Interview Committee While not specifically noted in last year's action, the Interview Committee has been a two-year appointment in the past, with Mayor Tabke and Councilmember Whiting serving on the Interview Committee in 2012 and 2013. Therefore it is recommended that Councilmembers Mocol and Luce remain on the Interview Committee for 2015. 2-Year Terms The following liaison roles were specifically listed as two-years appointments when originally made in 2014 and therefore will continue as is: 1. I.S.D. 720 School Board—Mike Luce 2. Shakopee Convention and Visitors Bureau—Kathi Mocol 3. Shakopee Chamber Of Commerce Board of Directors —Kathi Mocol 4. Shakopee Public Utilities Commission Liaison -- Jay Whiting Recommendation I recommend that the above listed liaison appointments for 2015 be approved. Budget Impact This item has no budget impact.
