SUBJECT: Declare Six Forfeited Vehicles as Surplus Property(F)
Action Sought
Declare six forfeited vehicles as surplus property.
Introduction:
The Shakopee Police Department is seeking Council approval to declare six vehicles as surplus
property.
Background:
A description of the vehicles:
1. 1993 Toyota Tercel, VIN: JT2EL46S6P0346831
2. 1994 Ford Explorer, VIN: 1FMDU34X6RUC94214
3. 2001 GMC Yukon, VIN: 3GKFK16T21G287712
4. 2003 Chevrolet Impala, VIN: 2G1WF52E839384935
5. 2004 Mitsubishi Galant, VIN: 4A3AB36F34E142389
6. 2011Nissan Maxima, VIN: 1N4AA5AP9BC805125
The vehicles were obtained through successful forfeiture proceedings. The vehicles will be sold
at auction and the proceeds, if any, will be disbursed according to Minnesota State Statute.

Alternatives:
1. Authorize staff to declare the vehicles as surplus property.
2. Do not authorize.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends alternative one.

JT2EL46S6P0346831; the 1994 Ford Explorer, VIN: 1FMDU34X6RUC94214; the 2001 GMC
Yukon, VIN: 3GKFK16T21G287712; the 2003 Chevrolet Impala, VIN: 2G1WF52E839384935;
the 2004 Mitsubishi Galant, VIN: 4A3AB36F34E142389; and the 2011Nissan Maxima, VIN:
1N4AA5AP9BC805125 as surplus property.
