Res.No's . 7508, 7509 (C) Action Sought Offer Resolution No. 7508,A Resolution Certifying Delinquent False Alarms Bills for Collection on the Tax Rolls Payable 2015; and Resolution No. 7509,A Resolution Certifying Delinquent Mowing Fees, on the Tax Rolls Payable 2015,and move its adoption. Background The City routinely certifies pass due amounts for collection with the property taxes.Resolution No. 7508 certifies two(2)bills for delinquent false alarms and Resolution No. 7509 certifies two(2)bills for delinquent mowing services including a$25.00 certification fee,for collection with the 2015 taxes. The total amount after fees have been applied for these four parcels is$780.00. The property owners have been notified of the process. Recommendation Offer Resolution No. 7508,A resolution certifying delinquent false alarms and Resolution No. 7509,A resolution certifying delinquent mowing fees,for collection on the tax rolls payable 2015, and move its adoption. Budget Impact None. Relationship to Vision This supports Goal C: Maintain the City's strong financial health. Requested Action Offer Resolution No. 7508,A Resolution Certifying Delinquent False Alarms Bills for Collection on the Tax Rolls Payable 2015; and Resolution No. 7509,A Resolution Certifying Delinquent Mowing Fees,on the Tax Rolls Payable 2015,and move its adoption. Attachments: Res.No. 7509 Res.No. 7508 RESOLUTION NO. 7508 A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING DELINQUENT FALSE ALARMS FOR COLLECTION ON THE TAX ROLL PAYABLE 2015 WHEREAS,the City has performed police services on certain private property and bills for said services are delinquent and collectable pursuant to Code section 10.73. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHAKOPEE,MINNESOTA: 1. That such proposed assessment together with any amendments thereof,are hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named herein and each tract therein included is hereby found to be delinquent. Parcel No. Delinquent Amount Fee Description 27-055005-0 $120.00 $25.00 False Alarm 27-266030-0 $360.00 $25.00 False Alarm $480.00 $50.00 Total $530.00 2. That there will be added to the delinquent amount a $25.00 fee if the delinquent amount is not paid before November 5,2014. 3. Such assessments shall be payable in one installment, payable on or before December 15, 2014, and shall bear interest at the rate of 5.00 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the one installment shall be added the interest on the entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 2015. 4. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to December 5, 2014,pay the whole of the assessment on such property without interest to the City of Shakopee Finance Department. After December 5, 2014, the owner of any property so assessed may pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest from the date of this resolution to the City of Shakopee Finance Department. 5. The owner may thereafter pay to the County Treasurer the installment and interest in process of collection on the current tax list. 6. The Clerk shall file the assessment rolls pertaining to this assessment in her office and shall certify to the County Auditor the total amount of the installment on each parcel of land for collection with next year's taxes.
