'i ,';~' ;/Jf EN T Memorandum TO: Mayor and Council Mark McNeill, City Administrator FROM: Gregg Voxland, Finance Director RE: Special Assessment Reassignment DATE: September 12, 2006 Introduction Attached is Resolution Number 6487, which reallocates special assessments for the I-State property split. Background I-State purchased part of a parcel of land from United Properties in December 2005. It was a simple lot split that went through the county but did not go through the city. The county assigned the original parcel number to the balance of the parcel owned by United. The I-State parcel received a new parcel number. As a result, the special assessments for Fourth Ave. that benefited the I-State parcel stayed with the original parcel number owned by United. The attached resolution reassigns the special assessments to the benefited parcel. The two owners are aware of the change.
