INTRODUCTION
The Shakopee Police Department is seeking council approval to declare seven vehicles as
surplus property.
BACKGROUND
A description of the vehicles:
1. 1990 Ford Ranger, VIN: 1FTCR15XSLPA54789
2. 1992 Pontiac Transport Van, VIN: 1 GMDU06L7NT239697
3. 1992 Mitsubishi Galant, VIN: JA3CR46VSNU030039
4. 1993 Chevrolet Corsica, VIN: 1G1LT53TOPY223201
5. 1994 Ford Explorer, VIN: 1FMDU34X6RUA15053
6. 1995 Buick Century, VIN: 1G4AGSSM4S6475977
7. 1996 Cadillac Devine, VIN: 1G6KD52YOTU259231
The vehicles were obtained through successful forfeiture proceedings and are not suitable
for City use. The vehicles will be sold at auction or junked.

ALTERNATIVES
1. Authorize staff to declare the vehicles as surplus property.

RECOMMENDATION

If Council concurs, they should by motion declare the following vehicles as surplus
property:
