Move to authorize the purchase of two new Pickup Trucks from Midway Ford for the price of $51,172.00 and two new plows and accessories from Aspen Equipment for $16,010.00. The funds to be expended from the Capital Equipment Internal Service Fund. 2. Move to declare the following Pickup Trucks as surplus property for sale at auction: Vin # 1FTSF31L71EC69943; asset # 733, vehicle # 161 and Vin # 1GCHK34F4WZ232344; asset # 534, vehicle # 155. Background The 2014 Equipment Internal Service fund includes a request from Public Works to purchase two new pickup trucks with plows, one for the street division and one for the park division. Staff included a budget estimate of $78,000.00 for this purchase. Staff is recommending to purchase two new pickup trucks using State Contract Pricing # T79 from Midway Ford for the price of $51,172.00 and State Contract Pricing # 69463 for the purchase of two new plows and accessories from Aspen Equipment for the price of $16,010.00. Total cost of purchase is $67,182.00. Staff is also recommending council declare two retired pickup trucks as surplus property so they can sold at auction. Recommendation Staff recommends the purchase. Budget Impact Funds have been allocated in the 2014 Equipment Internal Service Fund. Relationship to Vision E.
