SUBJECT: Re-purchase Agreement for the John Deere Gator.
DATE: December 18, 2007
INTRODUCTION:
This item is for Council authorization to use the re-purchase agreement for the John
Deere Gator for the price of $1,597.50.
BACKGROUND:
Public Works needs council authorization before utilizing the re-purchase agreement with
Siemon Implement, Inc. The agreement is as follows:
• John Deere Gator - at 1 year the re-purchase price is $1,500.00 up to 250 hours
and $6.00 for every additional hour. There was slightly less than 250 hours so the
total re-purchase price with tax is $1,597.50. As in the past Public Works will
invoice Shakopee Downtown Partnership for the re-purchase.
ALTERNATIVES:
1. Authorize staff to utilize the agreement.
2. Deny the authorization.
3. Table for more information.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends alternative no. 1.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Motion to direct staff to use the re-purchase agreement with Siemon Implement, Inc. on
the John Deere Gator for the price of $1,597.50. The purchase price to be funded out of
the Internal Service Equipment Fund. And direct staff to invoice Shakopee Downtown
Partnership $1,597.50 to reimburse the fund.
