SUBJECT: Resolution of Appreciation for Executive Secretary Toni Huber
DATE: October 11, 2007
Introduction
The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution No. 6675, a Resolution of Appreciation to Toni R.
Huber, on the occasion of her retirement from the City after twenty-three and a half years of
servIce.
Background
The Council has previously acted to accepted Ms. Huber's resignation, effective October 26,
2007. At this time, the Council is asked to adopt the attached Resolution of Appreciation which
will be presented to Ms. Huber at a reception being held in her honor from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. on
Thursday, October 25 in the City Council Chambers.
Requested Action:
Ifit concurs, the Council is asked to offer Resolution No. 6675, A Resolution of Appreciation to
Toni R. Huber, and move its adoption.
RESOLUTION NO. 6675
A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO TONI R. HUBER
WHEREAS, Toni R. Huber began her employment with the City of Shakopee on
February 8, 1984, as the Secretary for the Community Development Department; and
WHEREAS, Toni came to the City of Shakopee with notable amounts of
previous municipal experience, having previously worked for the Cities of Minneapolis,
Bloomington, Prior Lake, and Hopkins, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, in her more than twenty three years of employment with the City of
Shakopee, Toni provided secretarial support to Community Development Directors, a
City Clerk, two City Administrators, and other staff as needed; and
WHEREAS, although she may have been assigned to a single particular
department during her career, Toni always gladly assisted wherever help was needed
throughout City Hall and the entire City organization; and
WHEREAS, Toni's excellent organizational skills and positive personality made
her a very valuable employee and a pleasure to work with; and
WHEREAS, Toni will retire from her position as Executive Secretary on October
26, 2007.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SHAKOPEE, MINNESOTA, that it does hereby express its deep
appreciation to Toni R Huber for her twenty three and a half years of dedicated service to
the City of Shakopee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council extends its
best wishes for every happiness and success to Toni in her future endeavors.
Adopted in adjourned regular session of the City Council of the City of Shako pee,
Minnesota held this 16th day of October, 2007.
