SUBJECT:
Consider Ordinance No. 787,amending Section 9.50, Sub. 8 (B) of the City Code.
INTRODUCTION:
Attached is Ordinance No.787, amending Section 9.50, Subdivision 8 (B) Snow Emergency
Routes of the City Code.
BACKGROUND:
City Council last amended City Code Section 9.50, Sub. 8 (B) on October 17,2006. Public
Works is requesting council to consider an amendment to add additional Snow Emergency
Routes and revise some existing routes.
1. Section 9.50, Subdivision 8 (B) Snow Emergency Routes- Staff is requesting council to
consider - these additions and revisions:
I.) Foothill from County Road 16 to Crossings Boulevard.
2.) Crossings Boulevard from Foothill Trail to 900 feet north of Hansen Avenue.
3.) Eagle Creek Boulevard from County Road 17 to County Road 83.
4.) Fuller Street from First Avenue to Fourth Avenue and 6th Avenue to County Road 78.
5.) Adams Street from 6th Avenue to Vierling Drive.
6.) Pike Lake Road from County Road 16 to future County Road 21.
Deletions:
I.) 1 7'h Avenue from County Road 15 to County Road 83.
ALTERNATIVES:
1. Adopt Ordinance No. 787, Amending Section 9.50, Sub. 8 (B) of the City Code.
2. Deny Ordinance No. 787.
3. Table for additional information.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends alternative No.1 to adopt Ordinance No. 787 and publish this ordinance so
that the public can be informed of the new restrictions to this coming snow season.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Offer Ordinance No. 787, an ordinance amending Section 9.50, Subdivision 8 (B) of the
Shakopee City Code and move its adoption.

AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE PARKING RESTRICTIONS AND AMENDING
SECTION 9.50 OF THE CITY CODE
The City of Shakopee Ordains:
Section 1. Section 9.50, Subdivision 8(B) of the Shakopee City Code is amended to read as
follows:
B. The following streets are designated as snow emergency routes:

Harrison St. from Third Ave. to Sixth Ave.
Fuller St. from First Ave. to Fourth Ave. and Sixth Ave. to Tmnk Highway 169 County
Road 78
Market St. from First Ave. to Tenth Ave.
Scott St. from First Ave. to Sixth Ave.
Shakopee Ave. from Tenth Ave. to Eleventh Ave.
Sixth Ave. from Holmes St. to Tenth Ave.
Spencer St. from First Ave. to Tenth Ave.
Tenth Ave. from County Road 69 to Shakopee Ave.
Third Ave. from Harrison St. to Fuller St.
Twelfth Ave. from Adams St. to Taylor St.
Vierling Drive from 12th Avenue to Taylor Street
Preserve Trail, from County Road 18 to Creek Ridge Court.
Stagecoach Road, from Preserve Trail to County Road 101
