T () day and Bey 0 n J " To: Lou Van Hout From: Tami Petrich Date: September 6, 2007 Re: SPUC / City - Joint conservation projects Several joint conservation projects have been completed with the City of Shakopee and others are in process. ~ In 2007, SPUC's Energy Conservation Specialist, Bruce Stahlberg is conducting Energy Efficiency Audits at eight (8) city buildings. Bruce will be working with Duane Toenyan to identify various energy efficiency projects at each building. Audit Package: $6,800 :.- To prepare for the implementation of city buildings in 2008 and beyond, CIP funds have been allocated to provide rebates and incentives to improve their return of investment. Future - City Bldgs Allocation: $18,000 };> Tahpah Park's addition of enhanced Green Lighting earned a rebate in 2006. Rebate amount: $15,000 ~ City Hall replaced the rooftop air conditioner in August of 2004. Rebate amount: $880 ~ SPUC upgraded city traffic signal lights to the economical LED style in 2002 and 2003. Total project cost: $45,500 " Converted Shakopee city street lighting from mercury vapor to the energy efficient high pressure sodium in 2001 and 2002.
