No. 6637 s: 13. /., CITY OF SHAKOPEE Memorandum CO~ISENr TO: Mayor & City Council Mark McNeill, City Administrator FROM: Travis Karlen, Recreation Supervisor Jamie Polley, Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Director SUBJECT: Accepting Work on the Aquatic Park Support Building, Project No. PR2006-3 MEETING DATE: August 8, 2007 INTRODUCTION: Council action is required to approve a resolution accepting the work and authorize final payment for the 2006 Aquatic Park Support building, Project No. PR2006-3. BACKGROUND: All of the work for this project has been completed in accordance with the contract documents. Attached is a Certificate of Completion showing the original contract amount of $768,500.00 and the actual final costs including change orders in the total amount of $805,491.00. ACTION REQUESTED: Offer Resolution No. 6637, A Resolution Accepting Work on the 2006 Aquatic Park Support Building, Project No. PR2006-3, and move its adoption. RESOLUTION NO. 6637 A Resolution Accepting Work on the Shakopee Aquatic Park Support Building Project No. PR2006-3 WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Shakopee on October 5, 2006, CM Construction has satisfactorily completed the 2006 Aquatic Park Support Building Project, in accordance with such contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHAKOPEE, MINNESOTA that the work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk and Mayor are hereby directed to issue a proper order for the final payment on such contract in the amount of $45,744.65, taking the contractor's receipt in full.
