Michael Leek, Community Development Director Mark Themig, Parks, Recreation and Facilities Director SUBJECT: Revision of City of Shakopee Adopted Fee Schedule for 2007 MEETING DATE: June 19,2006 INTRODUCTION/DISCUSSION: During the 2007 legislative session the Minnesota Legislature approved changes to the fees for electrical inspection activities. Council is asked to approve an amendment to the 2007 Fee Schedule to be consistent with these changes, as well as changes related to certain Park and Recreation fees. ACTION REQUESTED: Offer and pass Ordinance No. 782, an ordinance of the City of Shako pee amending the City's 2007 Fee Schedule to implement changes related to electrical inspection and Park and Recreation Fees. ORDINANCE NO. 782, FOURTH SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SHAKOPEE, MINNESOTA, AMENDING THE CITY'S ADOPTED 2007 FEE SCHEDULE TO IMPLEMENT CHANGES IN ELECTRICAL INSPECTION AND PARK AND RECREATION FEES WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature has implemented changes in fees for electrical inspections in the State of Minnesota; and WHEREAS, said electrical inspection fee changes will take effect on July 1, 2007; and WHEREAS, changes in certain Park and Recreation fees are appropriate at this time; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is desirable to revise the 2007 Fee Schedule to modify the 2007 Fee Schedule related to electrical inspections and Park and Recreation fees. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, that the City Council of the City of Shakopee hereby revises the Adopted 2007 City Fee Schedule by implementing the following changes and/or fees; Building Inspector/Electrical Inspector Electrical Inspection City of Shakopee electrical inspection fees shall be paid according to the schedule contained in Minn. Stat. 326.2441. Inspection Fee Schedule. the current State Board of Electricity State of Minnesota "LaVIS and Rules Regulating Licensing of Electricians and Inspection of Electrical Instullutions. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following Park and Recreation fees are amended as follows; D. Park Facilities Huber Park Stage Rental 2007 Residents and Businesses. Churches. and Civic $50/hour Oraanizations locate in Shakopee (Plus sales tax.) Non-Residents and Non-Resident Groups $75/hour (Plus sales tax.)
