CITY OF SHAKOPEE Memorandum TO: Mayor and City Council CONSENT Mark McNeill, City Administrator FROM: Kris Wilson, Assistant City Administrat06~0 SUBJECT: Completion of Probationary Period - Facilities Maintenance Worker Dan Eckroth DATE: Aprill2,2007 Introduction The City Council is asked to recognize Dan Eckroth's successful completion ofthe twelve- month probationary period required for new employees and grant him full-time, regular status as a Facilities Maintenance Worker. Background Dan Eckroth began working for the City on April 24, 2006 as a Facilities Maintenance Worker in the Government Buildings division. The addition of this position has greatly assisted in meeting the growing workload of this division. After conducting a formal performance evaluation, Mr. Eckroth's supervisor reports that he is a reliable and hard-working employee and recommends that he be granted full-time, regular status. Visioning Relationship: Hiring and retaining qualified individuals to provide service to Shakopee residents helps support Goal D - a vibrant, resilient and stable city. Recommendation It is recommended that the Council recognize Mr. Eckroth's successful completion of the twelve- month probationary period for new employees and grant him full-time, regular status as a Facilities Maintenance Worker. Requested Action If it concurs, the Council should offer a motion to grant Dan Eckroth full-time, regular status as a Facilities Maintenance Worker.
