SUBJECT: Resolution of Appreciation for Joan Lynch

INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND:
Attached for Council consideration is Resolution No. 6594, a resolution expressing appreciation
to Joan Lynch for her services to the community while serving! on the Shakopee Public Utilities
Commission for the past nine years. Her third term expired thb end of March, 2007.
Ms. Lynch will be attending the council meeting on April3rd to receive her resolution.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Offer Resolution No. 6594, A Resolution of Appreciation to J9an Lynch for Her Service on the
Shakopee Public Utilities Commission, and move its adoption.

FOR HER SERVICE ON THE SHAKOPEE PUBLIC

UTILITIES COMMISSION

WHEREAS, Joan Lynch was appointed to! the Shakopee Public Utilities
I
Commission on February 17, 1998; and I
WHEREAS, Joan Lynch has unselfishly contttibuted many hours of service as
an active and valued member of the Shakopee Publii Utilities Commission until the
expiration of her third full term on March 31, 2007; an?
WHEREAS, the Shakopee City Council desires to gratefully acknowledge Joan
Lynch for her nine years of devoted service to. the Shakopee Public Utilities
Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Shakopee City Council on
behalf of the residents of Shakopee, the Shakopee Public Utilities Commission and
staff, that the Shakopee City Council does hereby extel1d to Joan Lynch the City's deep
appreciation for her years of civic interest and dedicate~ service to the community.
