SHAKOPE E TO: Mayor and City Council Mark McNeill, City Administrator FROM: Kris Wilson, Assistant City Administrator DATE: 04/01/2014 SUBJECT: Declaration of 50 Chairs as Surplus Property (F) Action Sought The Council is asked to declare the old chairs from the Council Chambers as surplus property and authorize staff to sell or dispose of them in accordance with City policy. Background The City recently purchased new guest chairs for the City Council Chambers, leaving the City Hall basement full of the old chairs that had previously been in the Council Chambers. The City has no use for these old chairs, but they are in acceptable condition and may be of some use to another group or organization. Relationship to Vision This is a housekeeping item (F). Requested Action The Council is asked to declare 50 stackable chairs previously used in the City Council Chambers as surplus property and authorize staff to sell or dispose of them in accordance with City policy.
