SUBJECT: Historic Preservation Advisory Commission (HPAC) Resignation (F)
Action Sought
Accept resignation from Historic Preservation Advisory Commission (HPAC)
Introduction
Staff has received a letter of resignation from Wade Ferris from the Historic Preservation
Advisory Commission, effective January 6, 2014. Mr. Ferris has served on the Commission for
approximately 1 year, but due to a significant growth to his company, he is not able to fulfill his
position with the Commission.
Action Requested
1. Offer a motion accepting, with a thank you for his service to the City of Shakopee, the
resignation of Wade Ferris from the Historic Preservation Advisory Commission; or
2. Offer a motion accepting, with a thank you for his service to the City of Shakopee, the
resignation of Wade Ferris from the Historic Preservation Advisory Commission, and direct staff
to take the appropriate steps to fill the vacancy created by his resignation.

INTRODUCTION
Staff has received a letter of resignation from Wade Ferris from the Historic Preservation Advisory
Commission, effective January 6, 2014. Mr. Ferris has served on the Commission for approximately 1
year, but due to a significant growth to his company, he is not able to fulfill his position with the
Commission.
ACTION REQUESTED
Offer a motion accepting, with a thank you for his service to the City of Shakopee, the resignation of
Wade Ferris from the Historic Preservation Advisory Commission, and direct staff to take the
appropriate steps to fill the vacancy created by his resignation.
