FROM: Mark McNeill, City Administrator
SUBJECT: Planning Commission Appointments
DATE: February 28, 2007
INTRODUCTION:
The Council is asked to correct two appointments to the Planning CommissionlBOAA.
BACKGROUND:
At the February 20th, 2007, City Council meeting, the Council adopted Resolution No.
6578, which appointed the people to the City's advisory boards and commissions.
In that was an appointment of Chris Gorton as a four year appointment for the Planning
Commission, and Mark McQuillan as a one year appointment.
However, it was subsequently found that the terms of the appointments should have been
reversed. This had been the recommendation of the interview panel, but that was
incorrectly reflected in the resolution.
Therefore, Council is asked to adopt a resolution which appoints Ms, Gorton to the one
year term, and Mark McQuillan to the four year term.
RELATIONSHIP TO VISIONING GOALS:
This supports Goal F - Housekeeping,
RECOMMENDATION:
I recommend that the Council adopt the corrected resolution (attached).
ACTION REQUESTED:
Ifthe Council concurs, it should, by motion, adopt Resolution No. 6589, A Resolution
Appointing Individuals to Various Boards and Commissions.
